Qualitative Study on the Coping Process of Bullying Victims in the Senior Citizen Center

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning and nature of bullying experiences of the senior and to explore the process of coping with bullying experiences in the senior citizen center. To this end, 11 senior who had experience in bullying in the the senior citizen center were selected as theoretical sampling through the basis theory, and in-depth interviews were conducted and analyzed. According to the analysis, the causal conditions were ¡®speak and act of shrinkage that bothers the community¡¯, and the contextual conditions were ¡®the senior citizen center that had to be endured and gone¡¯. The phenomenon was ¡°ignored, excluded from the group.¡± Intermediary conditions were ¡°space of desire¡± and ¡°internal and external support.¡± Interactions were ¡°externality¡±, ¡°resignation¡±, ¡°face-to-face¡± and ¡°establishment of support systems¡±. The results were ¡®living together¡¯, ¡®giving up' and 'standing¡¯. Through this, participants in the study were identified as coping with the experience of bullying by the Senior as ¡®abandoned¡¯, ¡®abandoned¡¯, and ¡®adaptive¡¯.
In the conclusion, based on the research results, suggestions were made for the prevention and intervention of the bullying in the elderly, and further research was suggested.
